Hakuba Valley Lift Passes 2026/27

The Hakuba Valley Lift Pass covers all ten resorts in the valley on a single IC card, plus free travel on the Hakuba Valley shuttle bus on any day you ski. It's sold from one to fourteen ski days.

One thing worth knowing before you choose: the multi-day discount is small. A 1-day pass works out at ¥11,100 per ski day. Buy the 14-day and you're paying ¥10,571 — a saving of about 5%. The reason to buy multi-day isn't the price break. It's the rest days built into the validity window, and never queueing at a ticket window again.

The Hakuba Collection is a travel agency registered with the Governor of Nagano Prefecture (長野県知事登録旅行業第3-616号). We sell Hakuba Valley lift passes directly under that registration — the full 1 to 14 day range.

The Hakuba Valley All-Mountain Season Pass gives unlimited access to all ten resorts from opening day in December 2026 through early May 2027, plus free shuttle travel on ski days and half-price single-day tickets at any Vail Resorts mountain in North America, Europe and Australia.

Two things changed for 2026/27. There's a new Youth rate for 13–18 year olds, and the old Super Early Bird tier is gone. In its place are two discounts restricted to people living in Japan at the time of purchase, plus one Early Bird price open to everyone.

If you're travelling from overseas, the price that applies to you is ¥158,900 until 29 October. After that it's ¥188,900 — a jump of ¥30,000. The cheaper ¥110,000 and ¥121,700 figures you'll see quoted are domestic-resident only, and you'll be asked to prove it.

Is it worth it? Against the ¥158,900 Early Bird, the season pass beats a 14-day pass at fifteen ski days. Leave it until after 29 October and the ¥188,900 regular price pushes break-even out to roughly eighteen days.

If you hold a 2026/27 Epic Pass, Epic Local Pass or Epic Australia Pass, you get five consecutive days at any Hakuba Valley resort at no extra cost.

You can't ski straight through the gates on your Epic Pass. Take it to a designated ticket window at any of the ten resorts with photo ID — passport or driver's licence — and they'll issue you a five-day Hakuba Valley ticket. Once it's issued the five days run consecutively, so start it on a day you're actually skiing.

Skiing 1–2 days, staying in one village? Buy a single-resort ticket at the window. Goryu, Happo-one and Tsugaike all sell day tickets cheaper than the valley pass, and several discount online.

Skiing 3–10 days, or want to move around the valley? The Hakuba Valley pass. The rest days built into the validity window matter more than most people expect — a 5-day pass gives you ten days to use it, so a storm day or a Nagano day trip costs you nothing.

Skiing 15 days or more? The season pass, bought before 29 October.

Hold an Epic Pass? You already have five days. Buy a shorter valley pass to top up if you're staying longer.

Most operators in Hakuba stopped handing out physical passes. You order online, get a PDF with a QR code a week or two before arrival, then queue at a ticket window or find a SKIOSK machine to redeem it — and you can't ride without both the QR code and a pickup code.

Individual resorts run their own discount tickets — usually a few hundred yen off, sometimes bundled with lunch or an onsen entry. They're worth it if you're skiing one mountain all week. Two catches: you'll need to print coupons before you travel and redeem at the window each morning, and none of them include the Hakuba Valley shuttle.

Yes, if you plan to ski more than one Hakuba resort. The Hakuba Valley Pass gives you access to all ten resorts with one lift pass and includes the Hakuba Valley shuttle bus on ski days. If you'll be skiing the same resort every day, an individual resort pass is often the better value.

A one-day adult Hakuba Valley pass is ¥11,100 for 2026/27; children aged 6–12 pay ¥6,400. Single-resort day tickets are cheaper, from around ¥8,500.

No. The Hakuba Valley lift pass costs the same whether you buy it online in advance or at the ticket window. Buying in advance can save time by letting you avoid the morning ticket queue, but it won't reduce the price. If you're skiing at just one resort, check that resort's own lift tickets, as some offer online discounts that aren't available on the Hakuba Valley pass.

No. Hakuba Valley day passes and multi-day passes do not sell out, so you can buy them whenever you need them during the ski season. The only exception is the Hakuba Valley All-Mountain Season Pass, which is sold during limited sales periods with scheduled price increases. If you're planning to buy a season pass, purchase it before the current sales window closes to lock in the lowest price.

The Hakuba Valley Pass gives you access to all ten Hakuba Valley ski resorts with a single lift pass and includes the Hakuba Valley shuttle bus between resorts. A resort pass is valid only at one ski resort and doesn't include the valley shuttle. If you plan to ski more than one resort during your trip, the Hakuba Valley Pass offers the most flexibility. If you'll be skiing the same resort every day, a resort pass is often the better value.

No. The Hakuba Valley lift pass does not include night skiing, so you'll need to purchase a separate night ticket. Night skiing is available at Goryu, Kashimayari, and Cortina, and the Hakuba Valley shuttle is not included during night operations.

No. Children under 6 ski free at most Hakuba Valley resorts, but they still need to collect a free lift ticket from the ticket window before using the lifts. The exceptions are Jiigatake and Kashimayari Family Park, where only children under 3 ski free.

Yes. Several Hakuba resorts offer discounted senior lift passes, but there is no Hakuba Valley senior lift pass. If you're planning to ski mainly at one resort, a resort-specific senior pass will usually offer better value than a Hakuba Valley lift pass.

• Valid at all lifts across the ten Hakuba Valley resorts: Jiigatake, Kashimayari Family Park, White Resort HAKUBA SANOSAKA, ABLE Hakuba Goryu, Hakuba 47, Happo-one, Iwatake, Tsugaike, Norikura and Cortina.
• Adult rate applies from age 13. Child rate covers ages 6–12. Under-6s are free (under-3s at Jiigatake and Kashimayari) but must be issued a ticket at the window.
• The season pass uses different brackets: adult 19+, youth 13–18, child 6–12.
• All prices are in Japanese yen and include consumption tax.
• Not valid for night skiing or the night shuttle bus.
• Free Hakuba Valley shuttle travel applies on days you ski. Scanning the pass on a shuttle activates it for that day, even if you don't ride a lift.
• Passes must be ordered five working days before check-in.
• Once issued, tickets are non-refundable and non-replaceable.
