Powdersuites are four two-bedroom chalets standing side by side in Kamishiro, a ten-minute walk from the lifts at Hakuba 47. One suits a family; take two, three or all four and a larger group gets its own front doors, a few steps apart.
The living space is upstairs, where the windows look out over the valley. The two bedrooms are downstairs, each made up as a king or two singles, with the bathroom, a second toilet and the drying room alongside. A queen sofa bed upstairs takes a fifth and sixth guest.
The kitchen has an AEG oven, gas cooktop and dishwasher, with a Nespresso machine and French press. Underfloor heating runs through every room, with air conditioning in the living area.
Book direct and a 9-seat Toyota HiAce 4WD comes with your stay, enough to reach all ten resorts in the valley. Boots and boards dry overnight in the drying room.
In summer there is a fire pit outside, and two barbecue sets shared between the four chalets, which can be booked from early May until late autumn.
