Local train from Matsumoto Station to Hakuba Station. This is the easiest way to reach Hakuba from Matsumoto. Estimated time and cost for the train: 1 hour to 1 hour and 40 mins, ¥1,140 ~ ¥3,040, depending on whether you catch a local train or an express train.
Matsumoto to Hakuba Taxi
Nan-an Taxi's year-round shuttle service runs between Matsumoto Airport and Happo Bus Terminal. Estimated time and cost for the shuttle: 2 hours and 20 mins, ¥2,500 for adults and children above 6. Children age 5 and under are free.
- Reservations are required and can be made online up to 2 months in advance.
- There are 4 scheduled shuttles per day.
- Please let them know if you have more than one piece of luggage per person so they can plan ahead.
- Please pay the driver when boarding the shuttle.
Matsumoto to Hakuba Bus
One bus goes to Hakuba during the winter from Matsumoto Bus Terminal. Estimated time and cost: 2 hours, ¥2800 for adults, ¥1400 for children aged 6 to 11, with children 5 and younger free if they do not use a seat.
